Perak will definitely surprise you! It has enchanting nature with wild animals, beautiful caves to explore, historical sites and much more. Our highlight of this trip would definitely the visit to Gua Tempurung (Tempurung Cave) as well as the white water rafting along Kampar River.
Tempurung Cave has a stretch of 3km long, is definitely one of the popular caves amongst the spelunkers, or caving enthusiasts. The complexity of the cave makes it very interesting for one to explore. Just bear in mind that the cave exploration is definitely not for those who feels uncomfortable in small spaces or holes. The amazing experience crawling, floating and sliding inside the cave would be a remarkable experience for those who are up to the challenge. Of course there are levels of difficulties ranging from Easy to the most Adventurous hike. We will discuss this more with you ok so don’t worry.
We would say its paddling, paddling and more paddling of the many rapids of Kampar River during this thrilling white water rafting challenge. Safety briefing and rafting techniques will be given before rafting starts. Bring your flexibility attitude with a mix of adventure, humor and fun during this challenge. Just a gentle reminder, due to safety conditions, we’d definitely need to take into consideration and cancel the activity should the weather and common seasonal changes which might affect your safety. LCCT – Kuala Lumpur
Upon arrival at LCCT Airport, meet and greet by our friendly representative and proceed for lunch in Putrajaya and have some short sightseeing of the state-of-art buildings before being transferred to Hotel for check in. The rest of day is free at leisure. You will have overnight at the hotel in Ipoh, Perak. Have a good rest because there are so many more coming ahead.
Ipoh City Tour
Perak is the second largest state in Peninsular Malaysia after Pahang. Being translated to Malay language, Perak means silver and being assumed that it is the color of tin. During the Dutch history, Perak it was very rich with tin-mining activities. Today our breakfast will be at Ipoh Old Town Coffee where it is one of the largest kopitiam restaurant chainstore in Malaysia. Taste the pure white coffee being served with the traditional bread with seri-kaya or butter. After breakfast, we will visit several places of interest such as Kek Lok Tong temple, Gunung Lang Recreation Centre, Ipoh Railway Station, Birch Memorial Clock Tower, Padang Ipoh, Ipoh High Court, Taman DR Seenivasagam and Lost World of Tambun. Enjoy the boat ride activity along with the beautiful scenery.
Ipoh – Gua Tempurung
Please ensure that you took your breakfast because it is time to get your adrenalin-pumping and being adventurous with all the thrilling activities in line. Gua Tempurung, one of the largest limestone caves in Peninsular Malaysia with five domes with ceilings resembling coconut shell (tempurung). After breakfast, we will head to Gua Tempurung and will take a complete Grand Tour of 3.5 hours of 3.8km from the entrance to Golden Flowstone, top of the world and to the end of the cave (East) and return through the underground river.
You will wade through the underground river that reaches chest level at certain stretches, duck-walk and crawl through holes, climb almost vertical walls and slide down slippery stones. The physical challenges will be worth it. You get to see lots of fascinating rock formations – stalactites, stalagmites, multi-tier ponds, volcano-like rocks, glittering crystal-covered walls and lots more. Of course, the Golden Flowstone and the Top of the World Caverns are included in this tour that also takes you to the eastern side of the cave facing the North-South Expressway.
After lunch, get ready for the Kampar river white water rafting adventure. After 10-15 minutes of briefing by the professional river guide, you are ready for the raging waters. All customers will be provided with buoyancy vest, proper PFD (personal floatation device) rather than a jacket.
Ipoh – Kuala Sepetang – Taiping Night Safari
Port Weld being the translation of Kuala Sepetang, was once the busiest port in the region exporting tin ore. However, today, Kuala Sepetang is mainly a port used by fishermen for fishing boats. It is also well known for its mangrove swamp reserve park which is open to the public daily. After breakfast, open up your mind and release all your tense away when we go back to nature and the forest. Matang mangrove swamp is one of the best well managed expanse mangrove in the world and it has received many International awards for it. be careful of not simply touching here and there because you might touch snakes that look-alike static wood. In addition to the walk, we will go for a tour of a local charcoal factory. Before we leave Kuala Sepetang, we will treat ourselves with excellent fresh seafood.
Ipoh – Bukit Merah Lake Town/Orang Utang Island
After breakfast, we will visit Bukit Merah Laketown Resort, which has both the water and eco park. Visit the rehabilitation for laymen like us who knows nothing about orang utan; the crisis these orang utan are facing. The orang utan island which requires a 10minutes boat ride in Bukit Merah itself, one of its kind in the world teaches the orang utan the survival kit before they are eventually released to their natural habitat. Visit the breeding, research and education centre and how they live and interact with one another.
We hope you had a good rest as we are now heading back to KL after breakfast. Travelling will take approximately 2-3 hours. After checking in one of Kuala Lumpur hotels, its free at leisure around the hotel area before we have dinner at WowKL with the enchanting Malaysian’s multi-racial cultural dance for the final wrap of the whole tour.
After breakfast, its free at leisure for any last minute shopping’s around the hotel area, check out and transfer to the airport. We hope you return home with wonderful and memorable memories and visit us again.
