For Nature enthusiast and researchers, Danum Valley offers a wide variety of undisturbed (virgin), predominantly lowland rainforest with world class research facilities. With an area of more than 43,000 hectares and regarded as one of the best Borneo Rainforest, Danum Valley offers you a chance to stay deep within the jungle. Among the animals that you might catch a glimpse here includes the Sumatran Rhinos, the rare pygmy elephants, Bornean sun bears, clouded leopard, orang utans and a well over than 500 species of birds.

Selamat Datang ke Malaysia or Welcome to Malaysia! Upon arrival we will travel from Lahad Datu Airport (LDU) to Danum Valley Conservation Area (DVCA) via 4WD or coach which would take approximately 2 hours travel time. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy your lunch. You are free to roam around the accommodation area or take a walk along the 500m self-guided nature trail. Ensure to have enough time to return before dark for dinner. After dinner, if weather permits and the vehicles are available, enjoy the night drive in Danum Valley and observe nocturnal animals along the way.
Rise and shine to watch the sunrise as well an early walk in the nature. After breakfast, we will start trekking and head to Tembaling Waterfall. If weather permits, feel free to refresh yourself upon arrival at the waterfall. Indulge the moments of this ice cold waterfall but ensure to bring along changing clothes. After dinner, we will take a night walk in search of Borneo’s nocturnal animals. As we are tracking wildlife, it is unsure of what we might see tonight. Ensure to equip yourself with night mode camera’s, insect repellent as well as torchlight.
Watch the sunrise this morning as we will have a quick trekking at Bukit Atur. Return to the lodge for breakfast and you are free to walk around the area. Enjoy your lunch before our transfer to the airport. We hope you return home with wonderful and memorable memories and visit us again.
